ICELAND

GARCIAFERRO TEAM EXPERIENCES

One of our most special international workshops in the mountainous regions of Iceland. This workshop consists of nature photography merging multiple very emblematic factors of each of the Icelandic regions.

Combination of shots of sunrises and sunsets along with elements such as rivers, lakes, mountains and of course, without fail, icebergs wrapped in snow. We managed to photograph all the seasons of the year in just one day! We made the long-awaited shots of the Northern Lights, giving our photography the unique touch of this phenomenon from the northern regions of the European continent.

We visited various waterfalls and among the most special places, we held a session on the famous black beach of Diamond Beach with its gigantic ice structures.

We have a large part of the Waterfalls and Mountains of the Island. From Skogafoss, the most famous waterfalls, to the imposing Stokksnes peninsula ... Without a doubt the best known of Iceland. Here we also have the Ice Caves ... A lot of material ...

this is how iceland 2019 was lived ...

Iceland is an incredible adventure, definitely the most ephemeral thing to date. Everything is special, from arrival to return. Something that personally I had never experienced and I think you can live in few places in the world.

Everything is very different in America. here everything is compact but at the same time colossal. The roads are narrow in one of the longest places I've ever been. The really unique landscapes, great mountains without any development. The very special sunlight, we have few hours of daylight, which also equates to amazing photos all day. When we looked at the clock and saw that it was already 12:00 noon, we could not believe it from the golden light that literally accompanied us throughout the workshop.

The glacial landscapes are also a great contrast to everything previously visited. Ice caves, frozen waterfalls, immense glaciers that seem to have no end and even beaches full of blocks of ice, are a great factor with great potential photographically speaking, without end, definitely the most special of Iceland.

And as I mentioned, even the return from Iceland is special, some totally indescribable scenes, such as leaving after sunset, and as the plane progressed, seeing the sun rise over the horizon at sunset! Flying over places like Greenland, which we had only seen in the movies. Literally from the first breath to the last it fills us with emotion; Iceland…
