MONTANA

One of the special Garciaferro international workshops. We will visit and capture various locations, studied by our photographic body, where unique elements such as lakes, rivers, tapestries of trees with exceptional colors and the most impressive skies will merge. In the same way, due to its proximity to nature, we will have impressive encounters with the Milky Way, which will give us photography of the highest quality range. Join us in this workshop, and know the potential that you can get out of a place as unique as Montana.

  • Starting the workshop we move to Whitefish, which is near the Glacier National Park. One of the jewels of national parks across the United States. It houses places like Lake McDonald that give us dream scenes.
  • It is our first approach to use the Neutral Density filters with these lakes, which give us reflections and crystal clear waters.
  • On this day we enter the National Park for the first time and the famous “Going to the Sun Road” that is the emblem of the Park.
  • A road where we see many viewpoints within the mountain range. Each point is
  • special and unmatched
  • At Lake McDonald we are going to take night photos with the Milky Way in all its splendor.
  • Here we are going to move to the other side of the National Park. Around St. Mary and East Glacier.
  • Here we will have places similar to Lake McDonald, here we arrive at Two Medicine Lake that gives us incredible sunsets. They are all unbeatable mountains and incredible photos.

WORKSHOP BASICS
It must be an interchangeable lens camera. Preferably a recent fully manual operation, regardless of whether it is low or intermediate range.
The tripod is one of the essential tools for this workshop. Given that the vast majority of camera accidents are due to a lack of knowledge and practice with the equipment, we recommend bringing a good tripod that is fully mastered, especially since we will work at night, it will demand the best of us and our team.
Within the workshop we cover both telephoto and wide angle ends. Wide angles (14-20mm) are recommended for the entire nightscape. In the same way, a medium telephoto (70 to 400 mm) is recommended for the fauna that we can find within the National Parks.
Through the nature landscapes of the workshop, we will have multiple encounters with water and very clear skies. Likewise, we will take a lot of photography of sunrises and sunsets, so in our professional opinion we highly recommend its use.
