COAHUILA

Photographing the Milky Way, Landscapes and Long Exposure Photography. The Zone of 4 Cienegas and Parras de la Fuente in Coahuila. They give us incredible photo opportunities like nowhere else. We have the best locations to take all these photographs in the right place and at the right time.

To be able to photograph the Milky Way, you need to be on the outskirts of cities, in places free from light pollution to have the best photos. 4 Ciénegas offers us all these options to be able to take incredible photos. Next to us we will take our class of objectives to break down and understand how we are going to take these photographs. It does not matter if it is the first time that Milky Way is taken, we cover all the doubts that may arise.

4 CIÉNEGAS

ITINERARY

Our meeting point will be in Torreon, Coahuila. It is recommended to arrive the night before to be able to rest. To start the Transfers to 4 Cienegas. On the way to 4 Cienegas we will be able to observe several of the places where we will take pictures during the following days.

In the surroundings of 4 Cienegas we will start with the pools, the swamps. At night everything changes. We are going to go to the Marble mines to take pictures of the Milky Way in them. It is also a good spot to take Long Exposure photography with the Stars.

The landscapes around Parras de la Fuente, cloudy skies during the day, clear at night. With the help of Neutral Density Filters we have the opportunity to take pictures of up to minutes a day! And take scenes that are impossible to the human eye. Like the ones we have next ...

Finishing our surroundings in 4 Cienegas, we will continue towards Parras de la Fuente. Home of Casa Madero we have access to photograph the vineyards and plan shots at sunset and with the Milky Way. The surroundings are basically made up of ideal landscapes with what we are going to do. Semi Deserts with Long Exposure.

We will continue touring the surroundings of Parras de la Fuente to have the best Long Exposure photographs during the day. We will find the ideal spot to take the Sunset and the Milky Way in Parras. One of the best Milky Way in all of Mexico.

The Landscape and the scenic ones are our favorites in this workshop. Around all the places we go we really have endemic scenes to put an adjective. In class we will see composition topics and special techniques for sunsets and the landscape in General.

On this day we move to Viesca. Where we will have access to the Dunes of Bilbao to take incredible photographs of the Sunset and
la Vía Láctea. El recorrido por Viesca es realmente pintoresco y es la mejor manera de cerrar el Taller.
After having the closing of the Workshop. We will take the day to return to our return destinations.

WORKSHOP BASICS

In case of not having any element, be it a camera, tripod, lenses or filters, GarciaferroTeam takes care of everything. We can rent you all the equipment that is necessary.

It must be an interchangeable lens camera. Preferably a recent fully manual operation, regardless of whether it is low or intermediate range. Since we will be using a large number of the camera's functions, we recommend having sufficient prior knowledge of the camera, so as not to have problems with the settings.

The tripod is one of the essential tools for this workshop. Given that the vast majority of camera accidents are due to a lack of knowledge and practice with the equipment, we recommend bringing a good tripod that is fully mastered, especially since we will work at night, it will demand the best of us and our team.

Within the workshop we cover both telephoto and wide angle ends. Wide angles (14-20mm) are recommended for the entire nightscape. And a medium telephoto (70 to 400 mm) for all the fauna that may be presented during the workshop. If you want to take plant photography, the use of a macro is recommended.

We do not consider filters an indispensable resource within this workshop.
