ISLANDIA RING ROAD
One of our most special international workshops in the mountainous regions of Iceland.
This workshop will consist of nature photography merging multiple very emblematic factors of each of the Icelandic regions.
Combination of shots of sunrises and sunsets along with elements such as rivers, lakes, mountains and of course, without fail, icebergs wrapped in snow. This will make it possible to photograph all the seasons of the year in one day! Likewise, we will take the long-awaited shots of the Northern Lights, giving our photography the unique touch of this phenomenon from the northern regions of the European continent.
As a last element we will visit various waterfalls and among the most special places, we will have a session on the famous black beach of Diamond Beach with its gigantic ice structures.
In this first workshop, we are going to visit the southern and eastern part of the Island. We have a large part of the Waterfalls and Mountains of the Island. From Skogafoss, the most famous waterfalls, to the imposing Stokksnes peninsula ... Without a doubt the most known from Iceland. Here we also have the Ice Caves ... A lot of material ...

ITINERARY
Nuestro taller en Islandia es realmente una experiencia de vida, la aventura a través de toda la isla. Recordemos que el punto de reunión para comenzar este taller es en Islandia. En nuestro primer día comenzamos a manejar hacia el sur de la Isla, donde tendremos el primer contacto con las mejores cascadas de la isla. Skogafoss y Serjalandsfoss son nuestras primeras Cascadas.
Una vez instalados en el sur de la isla, estamos en las cercanías de Vík. La Playa Negra es también uno de los grandes atractivos de toda Islandia, el Dyrholaey también es un arco rocoso que nos da increíbles fotografías. Cabe recalcar que todas las noches estaremos monitoreando los cielos para ver las Auroras Boreales.
Comenzamos a movernos al este de la isla, con rumbo de Glacier Lagoon en Jokursalron, el glaciar mas grande toda Islandia. Aquí tenemos Diamond Beach. La playa de los diamantes es de los spots estrella de todo el taller, alrededor de toda la carretera también tenemos toda la magia, rodeados de increíbles montañas y lugares únicos en el mundo.
Continuamos con nuestro camino al este de la Isla, esta vez llegando a Hofn, hogar de Stokksness que otra joya de este itinerario. Un escenario que puede ser acompañado de dunas, reflejos y Auroras Boreales.
En Hofn tendremos 2 noches, eso significan 2 intentos para tomar las Auroras Boreales con Stokksness y muchos lugares más que son enigmáticos del área. Es la entrada a los Fiordos del Este, este primer contacto con los fiordos que manejaremos los siguientes días.
Comenzamos con el camino hacia el norte, estamos en el extremo este de la isla y nos internamos en los Fiordos del Este. Es de los lugares mas desconocidos de Islandia. Este extremo norte-este esta lleno de cascadas, puentes y muchos sitios especiales para las Auroras Boreales.
Empezamos con el camino a la capital del norte; Akureyri. Continuamos con el recorrido por los fiordos del este, con lugares como, Volcanes, Geisirs y muchas cascadas que permanecen escondidas del turismo masivo. Increíbles.
Es nuestra llegada a la capital del norte, nuestro primer día de regreso en la civilización total. Aquí tenemos Godafoss. Una de las cascadas mas grandes de Islandia. Los alrededores de Akureyri también es de los contactos mas bonitos de toda Islandia, justo a la puerta del hotel tenemos increíbles fotografías de esta ciudad en medio de la cordillera.
Este día es el final de la primer fase de nuestros talleres, todo el sur de la Isla, y el comienzo de la fase norte. Aquí tenemos alumnos que si incorporan al grupo y también algunos finalizan el viaje justo en este día. Comenzamos a movernos hacia el oeste esta vez. Manejamos por la carretera que a nuestro gusto es de las mas bellas de la Isla. Dormimos en Laugarbakki, un lugar que siempre paga con increíbles Auroras Boreales.
Continuamos con el famoso Rhino, uno de los prime locations de todo el norte de la Isla. Con el mejor cierre a la llegada a la península de Snaefellsenss, sitio que alberga sitios como la Iglesia Negra de Budhir y Kirkjufell.
Nuevamente tenemos 2 noches continuas en este gran sitio, la península de Snaefellsness esta llena de espectaculares fotos, que tendremos todo el tiempo para sacar las mejores fotografías justo en el mejor momento.
Comenzamos con el final de nuestra ruta, manejamos en este día camino a Reykjavik. Completaremos para este día la enigmática “Ring Road” la ruta de toda la periferia de la isla. Y será también la clausura del Taller para quienes tomaron menos días en el área del norte. Sin duda una experiencia única, llena de grandes y gratos momentos y muchísimas fotos increíbles.
Regreso a casa y clausura del Taller.

WORKSHOP BASICS
In case of not having any element, be it a camera, tripod, lenses or filters, GarciaferroTeam takes care of everything. We can rent you all the equipment that is necessary.
It must be an interchangeable lens camera. Preferably a recent fully manual operation, regardless of whether it is low or intermediate range. Since we will be using a large number of the camera's functions, we recommend having sufficient prior knowledge of the camera, so as not to have problems with the settings.
The tripod is one of the essential tools for this workshop. Given that the vast majority of camera accidents are due to a lack of knowledge and practice with the equipment, we recommend bringing a good tripod that is fully mastered, especially since we will work at night, it will demand the best of us and our team.
Within the workshop we cover both telephoto and wide angle ends. Wide angles (14-20mm) are recommended for the entire nightscape. And a medium telephoto (70 to 400 mm) for all the fauna that may be presented during the workshop. GIVEN TO THE ACTIVITY OF THE NORTHERN LIGHTS, THE WIDE ANGLE IS CONSIDERED ESSENTIAL.
Our photography will cover mostly clear skies with some unique cloud structures. We recommend the use of filters to improve the quality and the desired effect within the photographs.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
Because it is high season, services must be anticipated well in advance. In case of cancellation by the participant, the payment will not be refundable. It can be transferable with an administrative charge of 20%, all this up to 120 days in advance of the event.
If the event is canceled due to causes beyond our control, such as adverse weather issues or events of insecurity at the location, the date of the workshop will be rescheduled to a date convenient for both parties.
